On the early morning of November 10, 2024, colleagues from the Social Responsibility Office and the Materials Management Department of the company's holding enterprise in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), including Chinese and Congolese staff, began their busy work. They loaded bags of seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, production tools and three agricultural motorcycles onto trucks, striving to transport them to the Lvsha Town, which is adjacent to the company, as quickly as possible, and deliver them to farmers as soon as possible.

November 11th is a good time for sowing in the DRC. Along the way from the company to the community, farmers can be seen leveling the land everywhere. The farmers' eagerness for agricultural materials is also their eagerness for a bumper harvest the following year. Seeing the trucks bearing the logo of "Excellen Minerals SARL", many farmers raised their thumbs in approval.

Two hours later, two trucks loaded with thousands of bags of agricultural materials arrived at the administrative office square of Lvsha Town at noon that day. Senior Director of Social Responsibility of the company, Yang Boyu, Assistant Kalima Chikatula John and Wu Jinlong from the Materials Management Department represented the company to attend the handover ceremony. Lvsha Village Chief Kibaki Nsemu, Milando Village Chief Sangachiele Jean Pierre, Kamgabwa Village Chief Kaboyi Shamlibwa Estache, Community Development Committee Chairman Rigobert Magonga konge and 12 respected villagers' representatives from the community attended the donation ceremony.

During the donation ceremony, Chairman of the Community Development Committee Rigobert Magonga konge on behalf of the community expressed gratitude to Excellen Minerals SARL for its continuous three-year donation of agricultural materials to the community. He also reported the situation of corn harvest this year and the agricultural development plan for the following year to the villagers and company representatives. He said that thanks to the selfless donation of Excellen Minerals SARL, the corn harvest in Lvsha, Kangambwa and Milando villages adjacent to the company in 2024 increased by 20% compared to 2023. Director Yang Boyu of the company reminded the farmers to plant as soon as the rainy season arrives and to plant scientifically. He also wished the villagers a good harvest in the spring of next year.

After the donation ceremony, community leaders immediately distributed the donated corn seeds, fertilizers, pesticides and agricultural motorcycles fairly and orderly to the farmers, and handed over the agricultural motorcycles to the agricultural cooperative. Many farmers expressed their high recognition of the quality, quantity and delivery time of the agricultural materials after receiving the corn seeds and fertilizers. At the same time, Director Yang Boyu, Director Wu Jinlong and Director Wu Bolin of the company also distributed biscuits and candies purchased at their own expense to the children who watched the donation ceremony.

As the evening approached, a gentle rain quietly arrived, moistening the newly sown seeds. The fields next year will surely be filled with scenes of abundant harvest.
