Ansheng Minerals Holds Union Inauguration Ceremony

On June 8, 2023, Ansheng Minerals, a subsidiary of a Congolese mining company, held the inauguration ceremony for the establishment of its union. The event was attended by Wang Xianhua, General Manager of Ansheng Minerals, JEEF MITUMAINI, Labor Inspector, and permanent union representatives from SOS, CSC, and SAD including JOHN, PASCAL, PIERRE, as well as HR officer ERICK and several employees.

Over the past month, Ansheng Minerals organized a fair and transparent election process, which confirmed the partnership with three unions. This marks an important step in building harmonious labor relations between the company and its employees and is part of the company’s efforts to protect employee welfare and rights.

During the ceremony, General Manager Wang Xianhua emphasized that the establishment of the union committee means that Ansheng Minerals’ employees now have a "home for workers," a leader for corporate cultural development. The cohesion and solidarity among employees will be strengthened, and their welfare and rights will be better protected. He expressed hope that the union committee, under the guidance of the Labor Inspection Bureau, will work together with the company to build Ansheng Minerals into a model company for harmonious labor relations.

Labor Inspector JEEF MITUMAINI stated that the committee members should promptly relay employees' demands, opinions, and suggestions to the company, allowing the company to fully understand employees' concerns and continue to improve the relationship between the company and its workforce, fostering a harmonious and mutually beneficial work and living environment.

PASCAL, permanent representative of the CSC union, thanked the company for selecting CSC as a partner and for openly and honestly collaborating with the union during the election process. He believes that the union committee will serve as an important bridge for communication between employees and the company. The close cooperation between the company and the union will undoubtedly contribute to achieving mutual benefits and sustainable development for both parties.
