LUILU Resources Ships First Batch of Cathode Copper

On August 12, 2022, at 10 a.m., LUILU Resources, a subsidiary of the company, held a brief and grand ceremony for the shipment of its first batch of cathode copper at the office building entrance. Jiang Jinghui, Deputy General Manager of Ansheng Mining's Congo (DRC) Regional Management Center, and Meng Qingguo, jointly cut the ribbon for the copper shipment. Approximately 50 employees, including department heads, workshop leaders, and Chinese-Congolese staff representatives, attended the event.

To ensure the smooth shipment of the first batch of cathode copper, the company’s operations, public relations, and other departments worked closely together. They organized the sales plan in advance, resolved issues in the export process, and effectively advanced product sampling, weighing calibration, customs documentation preparation, and secure loading to ensure efficient customs clearance and delivery.

The LUILU Resources project is designed to produce 40,000 tons of cathode copper and 7,000 tons of cobalt-containing cobalt hydroxide per year. It is the company's second copper-cobalt mining, selection, and smelting integrated project in the DRC, following the Ansheng Mining Lusa project. The commercialization of LUILU Resources has doubled the company’s copper and cobalt production capacity, creating a new profit growth point. The project began construction in July 2021, and with the efforts of all Chinese and Congolese employees and construction units, the project overcame numerous challenges, including logistics inefficiencies and manpower shortages due to the pandemic. On June 3, 2022, the first batch of cathode copper was produced, and product quality quickly reached the expected standards.
