Jayson New Energy Battery Cathode Materials Full Industry Chain Project in Meishan Receives Environmental Approval

On December 29, 2021, the Sichuan Provincial Development and Reform Commission officially approved the energy-saving report for the Meishan project of Sichuan Jayson New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., through the "Review of the Energy-Saving Report for the Annual Production of 30,000 Tons of Nickel-Cobalt-Manganese Basic Materials, 20,000 Tons of Cobalt Tetroxide, and 80,000 Tons of Ternary Precursor (Sichuan) Industrialization Project" (Sichuan Development and Reform Environmental Resources Letter [2021] 1147). The approval acknowledges that the project’s overall energy efficiency is at an advanced industry level. This approval provides a solid foundation for the start of the Meishan project.

The Meishan project is a key base in Jayson’s national strategy for the new energy materials industry chain, featuring advanced investment, production capacity, and process technology. With a long industrial chain, high relevance, and wide impact, the project connects Jayson’s capacity layouts for new energy metal resources and processing in Africa and Southeast Asia. Upon completion, the project will integrate Jayson’s New Energy Materials Division and Resources and Metals Division, creating a vertically integrated industry chain, strengthening its competitive advantage, and better serving downstream customer needs.

Sichuan Jayson has established a professional, collaborative management team, and extensive preparations have been made for the cathode materials R&D, strategic customer partnerships, process technology, and production operations. Related work such as design and equipment procurement is progressing smoothly. The Sichuan Jayson team is committed to maintaining the group’s tradition of efficient collaboration and professional management, aiming to build an exemplary project management team. The goal is to establish a new, efficient production base at the Ganmei Industrial Park, injecting new vitality into Jayson’s development.
